Hohimer and Pantier
These family names are linked to Armstrong/Greene and Armstrong/Clary, Armstrong/Jones/Watkins families who migrated together from KY. Many of these families settled in Sagamon and Menard Cos. of IL well prior to the Civil War. Several of them were personal friends with Abe Lincoln. Many served with him in the Black Hawk War. Several members of these families then migrated to MO, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma.
