Youngstown Jaycees Santa Jumping Out of the Jaycees Bus

Youngstown Jaycees Santa Jumping Out of the Jaycees Bus

The Jaycee Santa is seen jumping out of the Jaycee bus as the Jaycees broadcast live on the radio WKBN. This happened during the Jaycees "Mile of Dimes". The Jaycees are soliciting funds for the local TB Association.

The Jaycees were seen in downtown Youngstown, OH near the movie theater (Warner Brothers' Theater?).

The man surprised by Santa may possibly be David V. Gregg, later First Vice President of the Youngstown Jaycees from 1958-1959. The man talking into the radio microphone is Walter Grey McKenrick Jr. (1917-2000)

Photo taken abt 1951.

Thank You for your Youngstown Jacee's photos!
My Uncle Van is in at least 2 of them! (David V Gregg)
My family had roots in both Youngstown and Sharon, PA.
I appreciate you posting them!

Atlantamarcia----Just came across your reply. Is your uncle still alive? If so, then he might want to go see the old Jaycee's scrapbooks at the Ohio Historical Society (located in the carriage house next to the Arms House Museum in Youngstown, OH.). I donated all the scrapbooks to them when my father passed away in 2002.
