M. Alice Martin

M. Alice Martin

Senior at Gnadenhutten, Ohio High School in 1909. Photo from the 1909 Goal yearbook of Gnadenhutten High School.

From the yearbook: Alice, thought the youngest member of the class, holds the high and honorable position as Editor of the "Goal" [yearbook]. Her dark brown hair and hazel eyes win friends wherever she goes. As learning comes easily to her she always has her lessons and stands near the head of the class. Just like all the preachers' daughters she is always in for a good time. Is an accomplished pianist and has a sweet soprano voice which is heard in both concert and choir. She plays on the basketball team and is one of the many lovers of the national sport. She loves to read and has an acquaintance with almost every book in the High School library. She is a jolly girl, vivacious, merry and always in a hurry.
