Samuel Yoder

Samuel Yoder of the 14th Pa. Cavalry Company M. He was born in 1833 died in 1880 of TB contracted while serving. He was born in Schuylkill County, Pa., the son of Solomon and Elizabeth Yoder of Upper Mahontongo Twp.
He moved to Clarion County in the late 1850s and married Margaret Rockey. Samuel took part in major battles at Droop Mountain West Virginia, Averill's Salem Raid and Sheridan's Virginia campaign. He lived near New Bethlehem, Pa.
