Any connection with the A.A.

Any connection with the A.A. Kephart family in the Coal Run area near Osceola Mills?

Glady's father was Hugh

Glady's father was Hugh (another picture), and his relationship to the other Kepharts in Clearfield and Centre county are a mystery to me. Supposedly he was born in Clearfield Co., but moved away and returned later. There is no A.A. in that direct lineage, but I've got a lot of other Kepharts (Abraham, Adam, etc.) that are married into the other side of the family tree (Woods, Smeal, Mease).

Sorry for delay - I didn't have notifications for comments turned on and forgot about this site.

Woods Smeal Mease

These names are all ones I recognize in my genealogy research where I have hit a dead end. I have no idea if this will have a connections but when I recognized all of those names I thought it would be interesting to communicate.

Woods - Smeal - Mease

The Mease family is pretty well documented in many public trees at Ancestry.com. My Smeal part is a bit fuzzy, but much of the family history is also well covered in public trees. I'd buy access to all public records at Ancestry, or get a trial, if you can, and you can probably get a lot of information back to the 1800s, and find links to other documentation (DAR, etc.) that might help with those families. (I've seen some branches going back to Europe and the 1600s.) Woods can be a problem if you are trying to link back past Centre/Clearfield county, in my experience. I don't have any personal histories of my own, unfortunately, as the Woods homestead (in my line) burned down. There was someone in the family who did some research, but the Woods reunions have ceased, I believe, and I never made contact. Good luck.
