Flo gave this photo to John J. Welsh, grandfather of the submitter. Flo and John were brothers-in-law, as Flo was married to John's sister Bessie Welsh.
Flo was killed during World War I. It is reported that the only remains found were a ring finger with his wedding ring and its inscription. Bessie died a short time later reportedly of a broken heart.
