Vernon Lloyd Wood
Vernon Lloyd Wood was the son of John and Sarah Himebaugh Wood. He was born 20 Apr 1869 in Townville, Crawford Co., PA. On 6 Nov 1889, he married Margery L. Stafford.
Vernon Lloyd Wood was part owner of Wood & Stone Jewelry Store on Water St. in Meadville.
He died 8 Oct 1938 at his home at 610 North Main St., Meadville.
From the 1938 Sesquicentennial edition of the Tribute-Republican, Meadville:
"V. L. Wood opened a jewelry store in the same year [1897] at 190 Mead Avenue. In 1911 he entered a partnership with Robert E. Stone and opened the retail jewelry store of Wood and Stone at 967 Water Street which continues there today."
