Class Photo, Probably Park School, Bryan, OH 1950s

Class Photo, Probably Park School, Bryan, OH 1950s

Mike was in Atlanta GA. He went to a mall to a 'used' book sale and bought a college engineering book.. While looking at the book this picture fell out of it.

Based on the Snow White and Seven Dwarfs picture on the wall, the clothes the students and teacher are wearing, and the dates on the calendar the photo appears to have been taken in the 40's or 50's.

To the right there is an 'old' up-right piano with a Rhythm Band book on it. More likely this room was a multi-purpose class room used for Music and Art classes. Behind the teacher is a large fire place. The floor of the class room is cement, and has a large star in the middle with a circle around it. .

On the back of the Photo it says, Davidson's Photo, Bryan, Ohio.. Davidson's photo shop was on Lynn Street across from Oberlin Ford Funeral Home. But they have not been in business for quite a few years. Olan Mills took their place, and then a Beauty Shop which burned down this last year.

This school room was not in the Lincoln, Washington, Junior High or High Schools.. If this is a Bryan, Ohio School, it has to be Park School..Park School was tore down in 1956.

Does any one recognize this school room as Park School?
Does any one recognize this school room, teacher and students?

It is indeed my late mother,

It is indeed my late mother, Louise Carroll. I know she taught kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary for many years, but am not sure if that is the photo venue. Mom passed the spring of 2002 after two years of declining health due to a stroke. She was originally from Paulding, OH, but after marrying dad (Chuck) she lived her entire life in Bryan until the stroke when we moved her down to South Carolina to live with us. She loved teaching kindergarten and had many, many stories. I find it ironic the photo originated from falling out of a used book in Atlanta! Thanks for sharing!
