This gentleman may be a brother, cousin or other relative of William J. Stitt (27 Jul 1847 – 8 Mar 1913) who was a member of Company C, 139th PA Infantry. The photo was handed down through the family along with one of William J. Stitt.

Andrew H. Stitt

Residence Armstrong County PA;
Enlisted on 9/1/1862 as a Sergeant.

On 9/1/1862 he mustered into "B" Co. PA 139th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 6/21/1865 at Washington, DC

* 1st Sergt 4/24/1863
* 1st Lieut 2/21/1865

This could be Emory Easton Stitt of Leechburg,Pa. He would be my great-great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather was William S. Stitt of the Ice Pond Rd., Gilpin Twsp., Leechburg. My Grandfather was Robert S. Stitt of the same area. My Father is William F. Stitt, formerly of Leechburg, PA and now residing in Abbottstown, PA.
